The Centro de Referencia Estatal de Atención al Daño Cerebral (Ceadac) of the Imserso in Madrid, and the technology company Exeira, have signed an alliance with the aim of promoting and coordinating the implementation and development of scientific research programs applied to the evaluation and rehabilitation of patients affected by acquired brain damage.

The project involves the application, through different measurement and sensorization devices as well as virtual reality technologies, of a data collection software. This system allows to evaluate the effectiveness and quality of rehabilitation therapy, as well as to adapt the treatment conditions to the patient’s response capacity.

With this research, both entities aim, among other objectives:

  • Real-time patient monitoring through different devices.
  • The execution of a specific catalog of exercises in a virtual reality environment, focused on different areas of work: motor, functional, cognitive, etc.
  • The evaluation through official tests and validated scales.
  • The transformation of the patient’s behavior into useful data.
  • The application of predictive models.
  • An improvement in the efficacy, personalization and quality of the rehabilitation treatment cycle.
